She's not a Frankenstein...more of a Fembot

Hi all,

First post here. I'm about to build my ultimate strat using favourite parts and various specs from different guitars I've owned. Pickups is a biggie and I need a little guidance. The strat is a alder body, maple neck and I play mainly rock n roll and blues. I was thinking of a stacked Classic in the bridge, a true single coil (possibly a 50s type) in the middle then either a vintage based neck pickup or a neck pickup from the YJM Fury set. I guess I'd have the noiseless aspect of the bridge and neck with a good middle one for those in between settings. I was also looking at the Seymour Duncan fully loaded pickguard to swap pickups without the hassle of soldering.

What do you think. Any pointers or better ideas for a S-S-S setup?:scratchch

Why noiseless in neck and bridge but not middle? I guess I'd do one or the other. I have a fair amount of guitars and I typically go noiseless or not.

what amp do you use? Play live? Just record?

Literally no reason behind it other than the fact that they were both stacked and I hoped to still retain some of the single coil standard tone as well. If the sound difference is hardly different then I have no problem going noiseless on all 3.

Recently downsized rig (massive error in hindsight), now have a Vox VT80+ which I battle with daily to get anything close to a decent sound out of. Trading in for a Fender Blues Junior though as i need some valves and fender tone in my life once again.
