Applaud!!!

A couple days ago I ordered an open-box/new TC-HOF reverb for $90-shipped from ProAudio, after coupon-code.
I was figuring it was either a demo or a return, but with a 30-day return policy I decided to try it.

Received it today (I'm still on my nocturnal Saturday), but instead of the HOF it was a sealed HOF2 with no signs of any handling, let alone usage.
Just got done giving it a whole hour whirl, and can't find anything wrong at all (yet anyways). I even checked the internal bypass/buffer/kill-dry switching and downloaded two TonePrints (via my laptop/windows) just to confirm it all was working properly.

I really thought that for me the Mash footswitch would be a waste and just something more to go wrong, which is why I initially chose the original HOF (+ the lower price$$$), but WOW!!! The Mash footswitch is amazing if it holds-out for a few years. Three toneprint slots also!

So far the Hall and Church presets with my own settings sounds like the winner. I'm thinking it's also possible to load whatever presets I like best onto a couple of the toneprint slots so that i can have a couple versions of my favorite selection. (like my church-1 and church-2 for example)

Tried battery and wall-wart, both working great. I've read that these eat batteries quickly so I'll probably use separate adapters for this and original flashback until I get an isolated supply system next year. Keeping my Power-All 2000ma in the front-end only because from what I've read the daisy setups are terrible for powering fronts and loops together.

Re: Shipped wrong item.

I love reverb, so I am happy for the good review. It sounds like something I should try, as much as I love over-the-top reverb.

Re: Shipped wrong item.

Having no modern phone to use for downloading really makes the 3 TonePrint slots an especially good new feature.
Being able to audition three at a time greatly increases my desire to take time connecting to the laptop.

Now that I have their system down it doesn't take much effort anyways unless you get into the editor, which I probably won't.
Really if you do much of an edit it would probably just end-up very near some other TonePrint since there are so many house and artist selections now.

The mash switch isn't as finely controllable (physically-speaking) as a real expression pedal but it does let you chose which parameter it effects (somehow it does, I haven't dug into that yet), and I do just love the fact that it can be switched on, laid-on heavy for some thick-verb, and then switched off, all without moving your heel from it's grounded spot, as I just really hate trying to tapdance and/or hold my foot off the ground.
