SHO boost vs BOR boost

Ive got a pretty good deal lined up for a hand painted SHO, but am wondering if theres any point to getting one if the BOR boost is the same thing and you also get a overdrive channel.

Thoughts?

I had the BOR and I have an SHO clone I made myself...the differences in those boosts are subtle to my old ears.

The BOR manual says its a SHO that has been "sweetened" or something like that.

Hand painted is pretty cool. It really depends if you want a one off like that, or if you want an extra drive pedal.

Very similar but not the same.

The impedance is different and the overall tone is different.

Well I got the SHO. It was a good deal at $125 and just went for it. I think Ill enjoy it
