D daenius New member Apr 23, 2017 #2 Re: short or tall humbucker rings? What kind of Soloist? Archtop? Flat top? It also depends on your neck and bridge too. If you have a Floyd you probably want the shorter ring? I have an SLS3 which is tune o matic, so I have the tall ring.
