"Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Well as it says in the vid, changed the speaker to a G12H Anniversary Celestion, and stuck in a three spring long Ruby tank, also changed the wire for it....it was humming and making it squeal at higher settings...unpleasent;)
Just fooling around with some various settings, guitar is my JB strat!

Damn, that thing has range!! Great demo!! Clean to mine is my kind of amp. 6:08 or so is a tone I really love. Very brief, but it is a great lead sound.

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Nice demo! You're getting some sweet tones out of that setup. That new tank sounds great. Tasty playing, too!

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Thanks guys...
The dirty channel also likes hot guitars....not just more dirt and all that, but it also really works great at low settings.
Sometimes I use that channel as a semi clean one and use a few pedals...but my fave sound is just amp only:)
Have a few other amps, but this one really does what I like to hear, sure I have louder more big sounding amps and such, but this one is pleasent for the ears, plus it can work at low volumes...
And it is green;)

Great demo! Lots of great tones in there for sure!

How would you say the new reverb tank compares to the stock one?

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Rubbish...not one troo bypass tone beast in that entire demo...plus a rubbishy Strat with single-coils. Everybody knows that you need troo bypass and humbuggies for great tone...go and sit in the corner and think about what you have done! :D

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Thanks, hmm more effect and deeper plus longer, more after wash which I like....
But then again I use it sparingly...more often I use a plugin when I record.
It got more oldschool after the change...
^Haha Steve....I true flushed meself;)
And the strat has buckers strictly speaking:D
Walks to the corner!

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Fair call on those pickups Niels!! Top tones as usual...you only have to spend half an hour in the corner...

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

I tried a supersonic last week, such a good amp. Love the JB strat too! Nice sounds man!

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

Bookmarked; one more New Year parade and then I will have some down time!

Re: "Short" vid of my slightly modified Super Sonic 22

SM57 + Celestion = classic combo!

Very nice, warm tone, with just the right amount of chime peeking through. The crunch is very smooth! It's a shame that even at 720p, there are compression artefacts on the tone, but you can still hear that the tone is massive! :)

;)
Ain't no SM-57 though.
Audio-technica Pro 37.
Nice! I have a PRO37, too! But for some reason I always think it sounds too bright with guitar; in fact, I think the only place I've liked using it is as a room mic. Maybe I should try pairing it w an SM57 ... ? Hmmm...
