As amazing as this is going sound......The Sun came out! Ya......now that I'm finish spraying finish..... LOL
So I took a quick pic....

I'm going to wait a week, then file the frets, put Tru Oil on the neck shaft and heel, and oil the board. I shot finish on the peg head.
Then I'm going to wait another week before final sanding, buffing and assembly.
I am so freakin stoked! :banana:

Great job...

Proper coating take a lot of time - waiting for the coating product (e.g., Lacquer, Ploy, etc...) to cure before applying another layer. Then you have to wait for the final curing before you polish your guitar. BUT it is worth the time and effort.

Again, great job.

After letting it cure for 2 weeks I sanded it dry with 800, then 1200, then 2000. Then I buffed it out using Menzerna White on a stationary buffer of my friend Rossco.

The pics do it no justice....they were taken with my IcrapPhone in not great lighting.
I am going to assemble it tomorrow.......just in time for the show Saturday and Sunday.

Excellent! That is some phenomenal grain that you brought out! You know, they do make grades up to 7000 though. Or at least try 3000, if you think it looks slick now, that fine stuff really polishes.

Here are a couple of quick shots of it finished. I am going to replace the knobs with some ones that David King is going to make for me out of some Bocote, so they will match the FB. I will post some better pics after I get the new knobs on it and the sun come out.

I finished putting it together Friday night at about 10:30pm. I set it up and inonated Saturday morning. Shot these pics with my phone. Ran to Guitar Center and bought a case for it, then went to the show. Earlier in the week I was not sure if I was going to get it finished in time.......
I MADE IT! Ya!:banana:

Looks really great. You did a spectacular job on that. Glad to hear you got it in time.

Thanks guys. David King is making some knobs for it out of a piece of Bocote I gave him. When I get them I will take some better pics of it in the sun.
