Should I be worried about phase with this diagram?

I believe this is my best bet for what I want for a HH setup. The guitar was sold to me with two Bareknuckle Pickups (unfortunately I am unaware of the models). My questions are: is the 3rd setting in this diagram as I believe it to be, both humbuckers wired in master series (megabucker, or 4coil series)? And do I have to worry about phase in this third setting, or is it foolproof? I want in phase in the megabucker setting. My alternate is two triple shots and two push pulls for master series/parallel and phase. But thats more expensive and maybe more options than I'd use.

Position 3 looks like a normal 2H middle position to me. Not sure why it says series unless it's referring to the coils of each pickup individually. The 2 pickups together appear to be normal parallel in the wiring.

I'm not thinking it means 'series'. I use a similar idea that gives inside and outside coils in phase and hum cancelling in positions 2 & 4. It does require a magnet flip, though.
