It really depends on what kind of Bassist you are looking for, there are bassists everywhere that just do one note backround riffs and that works in alot of places. But finding a real soulful bassist that can add a real upbeat vibe to your music without even knowing the songs is about as rare as they come. But generally, finding a bassist to just fill the void is easiest. Finding guitarists, singers, and drummers with good knowledge of theory, ability to adapt to different styles without the "attitude" is usually a little more painstaking.
