Should I try a Super Distortion?

Everyone should try a super distortion. Awesome pickups that are more versatile than the name suggests.
I have one in my RR5 and it's great.

No idea. I didn't make it, it came in a guitar I got. It's a really fun pickup though . . . ballsy, high output, good highs, lots of mids.

I think that I am the nutter who made that pickup. I believe I used the brass baseplate and ceramic magnet in that beast. It's essentially a JB/Custom hybrid with a double thick magnet and brass baseplate, if you wanna stick to SD vernacular.

Funny enough, a 43awg coil + 44 awg coil is exactly what the EVO pickup is. With a ceramic magnet, but can't remember if the evolution had a double thick or regular magnet or which coil is slightly underwound but I believe the 43awg coil is slightly underwound (not much unlike the Pegasus; which explains why I love the JB/Peg hybrid so much which by the way is much brighter than the EVO but does have that liquid feel for leads and tightness for rhythm; works great with an alnico IV by the way).
