Should these be repotted?

When I installed my JB/Jazz pickups in my Les Paul copy I raised the pole pieces in the JB slightly. I noticed a bit of wax come out. The guitar makes a fair amount of feedack at higher volume in the neck position (4-5 on the volume of the Peavey Vypyr15) and I'm curious if the loss of a little wax around he pole pieces could be causing this? I can play my Ibanez with the Invader pickup at the same volume on the amp with no feelback. Should I repot it or do you think it is just the pickup itself causing feedback.

Re: Should these be repotted?

No that wax always comes out, its never caused any of my pickups to feedback.
Besides - you said you raised the poles in the JB, not the Jazz, yet its happening in the neck position, where the Jazz is (I presume). So why would the bridge pickup cause feedback?

Something else must be causing it.

a small amount of wax coming out wont make it squeal
the JB is wound Hot at 16k
