On an impulsive late-night whim, I picked up both of Moth Electric's current pedal offerings...the P. Isabella fuzz (Green Russian Big Muff) and the A. Incorrupta (expanded RAT circuit with multiple clipping options) to check out.

Holy cow, these are great pedals!

The P. Isabella ended up kicking EHX' own Green Russian reissue off my board and while I wasn't necessarily needing or looking for a RAT style pedal, I'm gonna make room for this one!

Apparently the owner/builder, Brennan, was a production manager for another (very popular) boutique pedal company out of Portland, OR for several years.

I will say he knows his stuff and the build quality on these is fantastic.

Plus, the aesthetic is really great IMO. I'd call it "upscale utilitarian"...simple, but classy and effective.

I'm already looking forward to his next offerings! And, no, this wasn't sponsored... :D

Currently my two favorite smaller pedal companies are Beetronix and Gear Ant, so maybe I could click pretty well with Moth Electric

those look great. love the clipping options on the rat

The 3-band EQ is a nice feature on the A. Incorrupta, but the clipping options are really the "secret sauce" to that pedal!

The Asymmetrical mode makes it noticeably more textured and "3D" sounding (really nice!), while the LED mode is really nice for pushing other drive pedals. Of course, the classic symmetrical silicon mode sounds great, as well.

The only setting I don't really gel with is the Germanium mode, but it's still a cool option to have.

Apparently, Brennan is working on a new OD offering (I'm very excited!) and then he is shifting his focus to delays and reverbs for a bit.

I'm super excited to see where his brand goes!

I'm simultaneously interested and taken aback by the BMT controls on the Rat-style pedal. I like using the filter. Especially on bass, just sweep it till it drops in... always fun. But more control is usually good. Hmmmm.

Interesting - I guess they glue the logo and control plates in place?

I imagine the nuts of the pots and switch hold the control plate securely. The design is sweet & simple.

Love the A. Incorrupta might have to take a deeper look thanks

Me too. I was about to say . . . adding that rotary switch, to select different diodes, is not expensive or difficult to do to any pedal. But he's doing it at a sweet price. Considering that a Palladium, (and others), are almost double that price . . . that's a nice deal. I'd like to snag one.

According to a recent Instagram post, Matt Pike from High on Fire is using the A. Incorrupta on his current live rig. Very cool!

I hope this is a brand that gets much-deserved attention, but doesn't get too big, ha ha!
