Show an amp..... Uglier than this

Re: Show an amp..... Uglier than this

The words “solid” “state” sounded cool in the ‘70’s. It beat the sound of “my tube amp was dropped 5 inches to the concrete while loading in and now is on the fritz”

I’ve always thought Pignoses were butt ugly and had a sound to match.

Re: Show an amp..... Uglier than this

Wipe off the words "solid state" and it looks like it could be a set prop from the first-gen Star Trek series

Wow thats so dumb. and ugly..

Edit: Im referring to the kick stand -That actually doesn't benefit anyone IMO . Studios don't store guitars on the floor unless they are on a study rack, and people at home don't store their guitar on a kickstand on carpet.

but I do like some of the innovations BOAZ is working on -like that bridge

I have a couple of 60s Standel Artist series solid state bass and guitar amps that are pretty friggin awesome for certain tones. Nobody ever takes about them

80s Peaveys were pretty depressing lookwise.
They just look like some amp.

I'd rather have some of the more interesting designs posted here than 'just some amp' - in particular the '70s Fender solid states and the Wiggy have design content this world needs more of (that said, uber-'Gen. Y' early 2000s styling isn't aging well.)

...And yet, I again will not pretend I don't understand the spirit of this thread so here's more SS:

Ah yes...the Zodiac Fenders.

I actually own one (Libra) though not in original condition - replaced speakers/knobs etc. I haven't heard it through decent speakers in a long time, but it's alarmingly low-volume for 100 watts; has a spongy sort of clean sound and distorts like a buzzsaw. Reverb is great though. Not unusable, but can't think it's what anyone ever wanted out of a 100 watt 4x12" amp, even then.

Wow! I'd never even heard of the Zodiac Fenders! That's wild!

Re: Show an amp..... Uglier than this

I didn't realize ART made amps, too. I had one of their horrific SGE rack processors. Pink and purple crayon squiggles on everything!

Re: Show an amp..... Uglier than this

OK, I'll admit..../probably not the ugliest....but not very pretty even though it's probably a great amp:
