This is right now my second favorite guitar in the world overall, but my favorite neck. USA Dean Hardtail in Vintage Cherry Sunburst. Ebony board, 24 3/4" scale, which is my scale of choice. Right now it has a Brobucker/APH in it. It had an APH set for years, with an overwound (8.43) bridge. The best playing neck I have, but 2nd in overall tone to my Les Paul. I think this guitar is part of the reason I want a LP Custom so bad. Ebony neck, slightly thinner neck.
Someday I want one in their Faded Denim, or a Spalted maple. I'm really just waiting until the time comes that I have the $$, and a Hardtail with THE top just jumps out at me.
Schecter C-1 class guitars are my #1 favorites for anything from Rock to R&B. Haven't tried Jazz or Fusion on one yet but it looks good so far. Tonally this guitar has that sweet "woman" tone for people who like bluesy rock ala Santana. For an axe under $1,000 it kicks PRS guitars arses.
Schecter C-1 Elite. MRSPs at $899. I used to own a 70s Les Paul Custom Black Beauty to give you some idea. I put this guitar up against any guitar when it comes to the tone I'm looking for. http://www.schecterguitars.com/spec.asp?id=9#
ESP LTD H is in the same tone class as the Schecter above when it comes the bluesy "woman" tone I mentioned. The H series used to be my #1 girl. But Schecter has stolen me away from her. Schecter is my new woman now!
ESP LTD H series of which the H400 is the top of the series and comes in at $849 MSRP. The low end of the series comes in under $300 MSRP. So expect the price range to be anywhere from $500 - $1000 depending on the model. If you need a whammy then the LTD MH series uses a Floyd Bridge. If string-through body construction is your thing then LTD MHNT series is the ticket.
i can make this one have 2 humbuckers by hitting all of the 4 switches to the "on" position. it's quieter than when you just have singles :eek13:
everything's cleaner than it looks in this pic and everything white is a lot more cream in real life
i know it's not a 2 humbucker guitar but i love showing it off. you can make a 2 humbucker guitar . it's a teisco wg-4l. it's been refinished that kick-arse orange you see right there. not by me though, but the previous owner. i got it for the same price it was sold for: $150
