Because if you were to have someone do work that was truly to the caliber of custom bike painting, the finishing itself would cost as much or more than the price of a U.S. made custom shop guitar (think Gibson, Fender or maybe even PRS).

My dad is good friends with the owner of a motorcycle shop. I'm always shocked when I hear how much people pay to have two fenders and a gas tank painted. True custom work like that takes a lot of time... and the paint isn't cheap either.

Just had an idea...

I'm not a fan of silverburst LPs, but how amazing would a sparkle silverburst look? Does it exist?

These are terrible pics, and don't do the guitar any justice. It's an Epiphone. I used to have a red sparkle one, but I sold it a couple of years back.

Shot of Joe Perry I took in Orlando 2004. It is large flake Gold. I also have a shot SOMEWHERE of him with a large flake LP in Gold with Black binding.

They would go good with the gold suit Elvis is pictured with on that album cover. Elvis hated it though.
