Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

Re: Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

My "pedal bored" entry. Not marketed towards the eyes. Work in progress. Thinking of going with custom-length signal cables, and I need more velcro so I can put in the rest of the tie mounts.

In-->Morley Bad Horsie 2 wah
Fender PT-100 tuner
Seymour Duncan Power Grid distortion
Danelectro Cool Cat V2 Transparent Overdrive
ProCo Rat 2 distortion
Ibanez MS10 Metal Charger distortion
Ibanez CS5 chorus-->Out

Some of these are great pedals that leave me nothing to be desired. Some are placeholders. Some are nostalgia trips from when I was just a wee pup. All in all, it's a mess. Thanks for stopping by.

A well-stocked pedal board is surely the finest thing humankind has yet produced. But a bunch of pedals not on a board is a close second.

Re: Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

Here's my latest revision. I removed my BYOC Tremolo and replaced it with the Zoom MS50G. The Zoom will be a Swiss-Army pedal, providing tremolo, slapback echo, reverbs, and "other". Also, the BB Preamp replaced my old SD-1. Now that I have a Fender amp in addition to my mainstay 18 Watter, I need the BB Preamp's more flexible EQ. The SD-1 sounded like dreck through the Champ head.

Signal flow is right-to-left, top row, then bottom. Everything is powered by a Voodoo Lab PP2+ underneath the deck.

Is that a switch mod on your green Classic OD?
Yes, it is. I pulled the switch on the board and mounted a switch on top to connect to the old switch's pads on the board. It switches between the GT-OD mode and the Zakk Wylde OD mode. Believe it or not, the ZW OD mode is actually brighter and has less gain. If you find a green one it's supposed to be set to GT-OD mode from the factory while the creme ones are supposed to be set to ZW OD mode from the factory. There have been a couple goofs, but that's it for the most part.

Here's mine. Wah is the only one not velcro'd and this is after moving it and flipping the bag open, so a little haggard hahah.

Few of these I have modded as well.

I used to have one of those and wanted to do that mod but never did. I bought the pedal for $40 brand new and when I sold it I got $40 because it was selling for $100 at that point.

After I got my first one I kinda went silly. I got the creme one that's on my board for $20 new without box (it was the display case pedal). Then I found another one, new with box, for $20 at another GC. That one is sitting on my pedal shelf as a backup, just in case something happens to one of the two on my board.

If you want some more pedalboard porn: http://www.reddit.com/r/guitarpedals/

I browse this place at least once a day to drool at some pedalboards.

Mine's nothing too interesting at the moment, and I can't take any pictures of it this late at night but..

Korg Pitchblack ---> Dunlop Hendrix Mini Fuzz Face ---> Xotic SL Drive ---> Lovepedal OD11 ---> MXR Analog Chorus ---> TC Electronic Flashback Delay

I'm going to drop the Chorus soon, I'm in a Phase mood again but I don't really like the Phase 90 style so I'm looking around for something a bit more subtle. The SL Drive is on and off my board, It's a beautiful pedal but having 3 gain pedals is too much for me. I periodically take the Fuzz or it off. If I could find a mid gain, overdrivey/treble rich fuzz to replace all three pedals in one go I'd happily do it.

For my birthday in a few months I'm going to be grabbing two Catalinbread pedals, the Talisman Plate Reverb and the Belle Epoche. I'm pumped already. I might change my mind before then, but I rarely get this pumped about pedals so I'll likely get them in the end. I'll probably keep the Flashback delay as a looper, until I can afford a Ditto Looper.

It was a good pedal but I had a one channel amp and always set it clean and couldn't get the distortion i needed from it. When I set it dirty though, it sounded killer.

Here you go.

The MXR overdrive should probably get more love than it does, but the SD-1 GT just really fits my rig.

Wireless -> Wah -> Tuner -> Wylde Phase -> Monte Allums SD-1 GT -> Amp -> FX Send -> Carbon Copy -> H2O -> Ditto Looper -> FX Return

Re: Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

For bass. Started out with only 3 but decided I should get a DI pedal... and then another... then I needed a tuner in front to mute it all... and phase 90s are cool... yeah.

This actually works well for guitar too but the settings would need to change. The order has swapped around quite a few times too but I'm liking where everything's at now so far.

Here it is with the new George Ls to clean it up.

^ Nice board. That SansAmp is a great pedal.

Thanks. I just recently got it. Planning to run it out as a "drier" signal with the drive lowered and the blend up so it's clean and full sounding, then all the other effects will be running through my actual amp for the "wetter" signal. If something ever goes wrong with the amp, I can still do the same thing out of the MXR which I also love. Mainly using that one as a distortion pedal.

'Course there is also this:

Run this through a good clean high output amplifying system and watch out!

Re: Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

^ Whole lotta love for MXR I see.

I think Dunlop makes some of the best affordable accessories on the market right now. MXR has got some great pedals. The Swollen Pickle is an awesome fuzz for guitar or bass. Not to mention the classic pedals being reissued, the Crybaby (the best wah pedal IMO), and the Fuzz Face.

Re: Show me your pedalboards. I'm bored and I want to see some board ideas.

Yea, I went through this MXR phase, No pun intended? I do love them & as far as the balance between affordability & craftsmanship they prob. are the best buys on the market right now? Now I'm on a E-H kick, my Russian Muff PI should be arriving anytime now!!!

I will have to play this Crybaby that's "the best wah pedal" sometime. I've owned a couple of them and frankly, I hated them for their tone-sucking ways. I gave the last one that I had away just to get it out of my sight. I've played the Fulltone Clyde and Mission ReWah Pro, and much prefer them both. And I own the BBE and the Vertex wahs and those are my favorites. Anyways... I guess the wah is in the ear of the beholder... but if you'd played some of these other great wahs and still prefer the Crybaby, then more power to ya. I personally will never go back to one.

P.S. Had you said that the Crybaby was your "favorite", I wouldn't have responded. We all have our own tastes and preferences. But when it comes to "the best" (something that rarely can be defined and agreed upon in something so subjective as tone)... then that's where I felt the need to chime in with my personal $.02. :)
