Well, the two on the left. The orange one isn't an Ibby.

My 1987 SR-885LE, which I bought new. The bridge and electronics have been replaced.

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

Have loved Ibanez since the late 70's when they still made excellent copies. I've had Musicians, Studios, Roadsters, Blazers, Destroyers, a Lee Ritenour, numerous Artists, a Ragtime (acoustic electric), various RG models, and more. I'm talking guitars and basses. Right now I own a Paul Gilbert Mikro, an Ibanez AS-73, a GAX-50, and an early 80's Bob Weir I am slowly rebuilding. Ibanez is good ****, and I love the stuff.

Fantastic ibbies every one!! Especially the first 3!
My dream guitar would be an all white maple board 7-string HSH RG.....

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

I have a MIJ Artist model 5-string banjo from 1976, and a MIK Artwood AW50CENT dreadnought electric/acoustic. The Artwood is choice when I don't want to take a Martin or my Taylor 710-CE--and honestly, the Artwood's tone is almost as good as the Taylor.

The banjo is a mid-priced copy of a Gibson. Very well-crafted, and there's so much birdseye in the maple resonator it looks like the before photos in a ProActive commercial!

I have a MIK Ibanez Artstar AS-120TR in Transparent Red. Doesn't quite have the mojo of my 335s, but it is a fine guitar...and probably better built than the Gibsons.

Years ago, I wanted a 2HB alternative to my G&L Legacy and found a terrific deal on a MIK Ghostrider GR-520. For me, it was a viable alternative to a Les Paul. My first one is their Vintage Sunburst, and then I found another in the Orange SB. Gibson scale length, slim-taper style neck, gold hardware and Infinity 1 & 2 pickups. They are beautiful guitars and sound great through the Mesas. Pauls are a dime a dozen; these are budget beauties, but they are RARE. All of my Ibanez guitars are stock.

I'm not a shred-stick player, but I really like many models of Ibanez guitars. When I find a good one, I hang on to it.

Yeah it's a shame that Ibanez is sort-of name-branded for having those paper-thin necks when in reality it's only on some models. Even many of their metal-focused models are a more medium-thin depth. Ibanez actually has a very good range of specs.

2013 RG550 Genesis with Gravity Storm set:

I should be getting my old RG550 back sometime early next week. Its an '87 in Road Flare Red with a matching headstock like yours. Yours looks good with blue pickups. I was thinking either a zebra Yellow/Green Breed in the bridge with 1 volume, or I'll take this old EMG-81 I have and paint it Yellow. I'll try to get some pictures up some how when I get it.

Nice guitars guys! I also love that V!

I love their necks
It's the super jumbo frets that I have trouble with
If I press to hard the note goes sharp

Kinda like having the whole fretboard scalloped

I play a lot of acoustic
And my grip is a little tighter than needed on the Ibby sometimes

The basses are in a league of their own
Super light ergonomic and sound great

When I bought .
My first ibby bass
My buddyb who has played fenders for years
Ran out to get the 5 string version

" if I had one of these earlier, I would never have switched to guitar "

Re: "Show Some Ibanez Love" Thread

I've got three Ibanez guitars and a bass... and I really like all of them. I've had to do pickup swaps to a couple of them, but otherwise just great playing guitars.

And finally, "Inga." I never got around to doing the photoshopped custom "sell sheet" that I did for the other ones, but she's a 2004 SR300DX… all stock with active pickups. VERY easy-playing neck on this girl, which is kind of nice for a guy who doesn't play bass all that often:

I LOVE that first one.
Im gassing hard for an IBBY.
Are there particular superstrat type models that exclusively have 2 humbuckers? I'm not a fan of the middle pickup and the plethora of various models has m head spinning!!
