Well, someone had to start it, here is my main stack:

bassrigphoto_zps8ca4160b.jpg
my current doom bass rig: each cab weighs only 40 pounds and I can fit all of it in the back seats of my corrolla!! maybe not doomz enuf??? I use tech 21 vt bass and decimator gstring for growl. the bottom amp is a line 6 lowdown 400 and I have the shortboard footswitch for it. The top amp is a Peavey Pro 450 Tour.

I also have a behringer bass practice amp with an 8" speaker that also serves as a guitar amp for the apartment which sounds good for my heavy downtuned rock, and a Gallien 212 combo that is 500 watts and only weighs 37 pounds for grab & go jams around town :)

^ Thats sweet! I have three "Bass amps". All are old School. The little 20 watt Traynor 2x EL84 'Bass Mate' is a tonemonster for jamming coffeeshop style , and an acoustic guitar and vocals through a small dedicated acoustic guitar amp. Though the Bass Mate is just 20 watts, I have a 200 watt EV 15" speaker in it, and the old Hammond Transformers are very stout.

The other amp is the YBA-2a 90 watt 2x EL34 Traynor "Bass Master MKII'. Though better for guitar, and sounds great( although as much as some would try and have you believe, it definitely AINT no Marshall Superlead, trust me on that), its got massive Hammond iron, and can be a good bass Amp through my old Sunn BH212 cabinet.

I also have the grail of studio Bass amps- a B15N Fliptop Ampeg. Would love to own an SVT one day!

I would love to get a modern rig though, like the SVT Pro and a 4x10. Class D probably ain't for me. I would like a good Solid State bass amp though, for sure.;

Re: Show us all your bass AMPLIFIER(s) then...

Old rig: Ampeg SVT head (Magnavox era, black-line graphics), Acoustic Control dual 15" cab w/JBL's (metal dust caps)
The Beast. A rump-shaker if ever there was. Sold for cash and pre-emptive orthopedic concerns.

Current rig:
(practice) Ampeg BA-115 (SLM era, upgraded with a whizzer cone 15");
(gig) Ampeg PF-350 into a generic grey carpet PA cab, single 15" w/piezo horn.
Nothing major, and I can pack in to a car trunk with room to spare.

As soon as I can, I'm gonna upgrade. I've got CAJS syndrome: Can't Afford Jack :censored:.

Same as the last time that we had a thread like this.

Re: Show us all your bass AMPLIFIER(s) then...

The great James Jamerson DI'd for most of the Motown classic hits if I am not mistaken. Only played the b15N for club dates.

I'll post a pic when I see it next because I still have it in studio right now for rehearsals, but it os a Galien Krueger 2001rb. Love this thing to death but I also usually record directly in. Still gotta buy a fitting cab, a light rack compressor that I will probably barely use, a power conditioner and a rack tuner for it even though I have clip on headstock one. Pedals are a Fulltone OCD, a Dunlop Bass Wah, and (soon) a Digitech Bass Whammy. Most places I play have me run into a box or have a cab for bands to use so I just lug the head with me usually, though I do have a GK Backline cab that works well and gets more than loud enough for any bar and most stages.
