Show us your one-humbucker-only guitars!

Re: Show us your one-humbucker-only guitars!

Phantasmagoria, the inlays remind me of some Dean Razorback models.
What is the body made of?

The inlays look nice, they're MOP I think. I've played a few Razorbacks but I can't recall any with inlay's like these...could be though?

As for the body, It's mahogany with a spalted maple top...not a light guitar by any standards, but not over heavy either. It's just poorly balanced. The neck is quite a lot thicker/rounder than I'm used to, but it plays well and is extremely comfortable.

Moving the strap buttons might help with the neck-dive...not really sure where I need to move them though...:scratchch

Captain Tightpants,your tele looks sweet!
I think it would look even better with wooden pickguard, like ebony.

Phantasmagoria, yeah I think I've seen a Razorback or two with the same exact looking inlays.
It was from internet photos I can't remember, but probably ripoff as well IDK.
Anyway, that's a rad beast you got there. Congrats!

I know this is a old post but i just ran across it looking for something and i had to throw my pix in the pile. This is my Screaming Damon Ax complete with custom stand that bolts to my amp. For all those people that like single pick up guitars , Rock on.

Re: Show us your one-humbucker-only guitars!

..not sure if it is ok to post on a 2 year old thread, but here goes.... I have this single pick-up guitar. It is kind of odd (aren't they all). The headstock says Jedson, but I can't identify the model. Next thing - see where the pick-up is located ? Right in the middle. Yep, makes sense, strum behind or in front of it. Next to perfect. Perhaps... Anyway - No markings on pick-up , hardware, tuners,etc..makes it almost impossible to identify. I just wonder if there is anyone who can recognize the set-up with a pick-up placed like this from a different brand ? I can't think for the life of me why anyone would want to stick a Jedson badge or even complete neck onto something else, but it is yet another possibility of what may have happened. And yes, you guessed right - I have no history on it whatsoever, so it's all detective work from here on. If you wonder what it sounds like, no idea. the last time I played in a band was over 30 years ago and we only had one gig, but no bottles were thrown at us, so that was a success, I guess.

Charvel San Dimas in fiesta red with a Seymour Duncan Perpetual Burn and swapped the 1000 series Floyd for a German Floyd.

Charvel Firebird mutt with a Model series neck and a custom firebird body. Duncan 59 in there and a German Floyd

This guitar should be a POS, but it is fun, fun, fun. Can't wait for this guitar to get naturally relic'ed, it'll look *****in'.

That brand-new white JB on the pic is no longer on the guitar (couldn't stand that 100% pure white-ness); replaced it with another JB, this time a vintage zebra one.
