Board for my '79 JMP...

marshallboard.jpg

I was considering adding more pedals to the JMP board but now I'm thinking I may just go with an M13.

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

how are you using the 44 magnum with the JMP?

ie are you using the amp's preamp section and the 44 for power to the cab?

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

Since the JMP doesn't have an FX loop and I'm a delay junkie I run the JMP speaker out to a hot plate set to load. The run the hot plate line out into the EQ then delay then 44 Mag and finally into the 4x12. Thus creating a reamped FX loop of sorts.

It works amazingly well and lets me crank the JMP and control the actual volume with the 44 Mag. So i can get cranked tones at mouse fart volume if needed. Thankfully I can play loud with no complaints so I still have it fairly cranked but no where near the deafening volume the JMP itself is set to.

New Board 071 by sonnyblu442, on Flickr

I kinda' miss my Wha, Octavia, Comp and POG... but I've made my life simpler.... Barber Gain Pedals are freakin' awesome!
I may still stick a Tremolo back one here...

I see you set the UnLTD and the Half Gainer almost the same. The unLTD has more gain?

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

Yes, It may be a little fatter too... But still based upon the LTD Silver (or SR)
I think it is freakin' awesome... I keep the mids pretty low also at the same time.
I have started inching the Treble up on the Half Gainer for cleaner sounds.
But Yes, The tonality, Grit whatever is very Barber, just a little fatter and Tons more gain.

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

sorry for the doodoo picture
chain: wampler ecstacy > GGG Brown sound > KoT clone > Carbon Copy > T-Rex verb > GGG LPB1 > TU2.... I needs more modulation and less gain...

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

Your KOT Clone... reminds me of a G2D Cream Tone... I'm Gassing for one of those.
Just dig the Vibrolux knobs!!! LOL

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

How do you like the HD500?

Do you find yourself combining 2 effect/amp chains to get the sound you want?

I do on occasion... I've only played it out a couple of times and both times I used the Divided by 13 model as my main "amp".

My primary tube amp is a '71 Pro Reverb that was blackfaced, it sounds killer... I am able to dial in a pretty dead-on match to that through the POD. To the point where I was really surprised.

Some of the options are incredible like changing the cab and mics. I find that these really help to EQ your tone the fastest once you've dialed in a basic sound.

Now I did track it in my buddy's studio a couple of days ago doing a track that was very pop-rockish. For that we used a Marshall "800" and the Supro model split L/R going to the main board, no effects. I would bet 9/10 out of the people that claim they can tell a difference would either A. Not be able to tell the difference between that and the real thing... or B. the difference would be so slight to them that they would concede to making positive remarks about the modeler. No one will know when the tracking is all done.

That's good to know .... thanks! As much as I love my pedals and will not abandon using them and a tube amp for most venues the convenience of a good modeler is hard to beat in a setting where the amp is impractical.

No wonder with that flat crap people call hi-fi these days!
:D

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

Haha.. This is what my "board" would look like, if I had one.. love the Barber boxes..

Don't use a pedal board anymore.. I use as few pedals as possible now-a-days on an as-needed basis.. but I'm drooling over these boutique pedal collections.. very nice.

EDIT: Here's the Non-pedalboard thread

This is sort of what my board looks like these days, GE-7->NS-2. Though I still have a 20"x12" board I made, it makes my pedals look a bit lonely.

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

These are preliminary pics. I haven't finalized the lineup yet and I've added a Big Muff Tone Wicker to the lineup.

Here's the case etc stuff. Built everything myself.

This is my main board...

Tuner out and mute, Timmy, Landgraff DO, Landgraff Mo'D, MI Boost'n'Buff, triple looper out to Maxon AD-900, Retro-Sonic Chorus, DE-7.

And this is a secondary board that I use when I play with my 60's/70's classic rock project.

Single loop out to Octron2, Teese Picture Wah, KR Megavibe, KR Gypsy Fuzz, Jetter Gain Stage Purple. Direct signal goes to Zendrive and then across to the main board.

Cheers......................................... wahwah

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

How do you like the Janglebox? I came very close to buying one of those. Still might, though it would be tough to give up some of the features of the Comp 66.

QUOTE=cvansickle;2844179]Here's my big board, AKA Fat Man. The smaller one, AKA Little Boy, is being reworked and should be ready to show by Monday.

I bought the JangleBox with the intent to play my Dano 12 string more often. It turned out to be an incredible all-around comp for my Les Pauls and Strats too. I use the Normal setting for Pauls, the Dark setting for Strats, and the Bright setting when I do play the Dano or if I use somebody else' amp that is too dark for me.

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

Over the past year I've had a big change around and have more or less done a complete 180 gear wise :D

In my last band that used to gig with a lot I used to use an old Carlsbro 50-Top (nicest clean amp I've ever used) and a pedalboard like this:

MainPedalboardFlat.jpg

I actually ended up using that setup for a bit but I changed a few pedals out and that became my main rig. I don't have any pics of that though, for some reason.

I got my Splawn Quick Rod last August/September and this is now my pedalboard:

SDC10477.jpg

The Rivera MIDI Controller controls 1 of these:

SDC10478.jpg

which lets me control all aspects of the Splawn (not possible with the Splawn fotoswitch) and it also has a MIDI out into a TC Electronics G-Major (thinking of getting a Line6 M5 instead though) for the now rare times I want FX.

Re: Show us your pedalboard!

I'm a big fan of this little mini board. I'm looking to get something smaller for my blues gigs and smaller gigs....just not sure if I wanna go the pedaltrain mini board or something smaller or homemade. Did you make this or can you suggest the company?
