this ain't yo' daddy's red, black, or white/off white SG!
no guitar quite says, "hey, i'm super rad stuff/ryan's guitar!" like actually saying super rad stufff on it. note the sharpie marker abominations, the "the cure" and hello kitty stickers, the word "gibson" hand written in sharpie instead of being stenciled in, and giant mxr style knobs.
it's so jacked up looking because i want it to be that way
it's also the best sounding and best feeling guitar i own.

A couple of reasons: 1) it would neck dive on me, I was always holding the neck up and I was doing a lot of gigging at the time and it aggravated me 2) it didn't have a strong fundamental tone to it, always a bit too airy for my taste (it needed the punch of the stock Gibson Classic '57s for sure, but those pickups do work well in that piece), 3) it had some misaligned binding towards the upper frets on the neck that made me nervous, 4) the neck profile was '60s style and I had grown accustomed to baseball bat necks and 5) the middle pickup always got in the way... for a while I just lowered the middle pickup and wired it for the bridge and neck only. She was a looker though - I used to love looking at that one when I had her.

i miss my SG! it was a beater, but i never should have sold it. awesome guitar.

Don't worry man, my main guitar is an Epi SG too. They kick major ass at the prices they are. :bigthumb:
