Show your PRS's.....

Re: Show your PRS's.....

A closeup of my 1990 Custom 24 with a TB-11 Trembucker in the bridge and a Pearly Gates neck. You're gonna be seeing a lot of this guitar in the next few years.

Another view of the same guitar (by an amateur photographer).

Hey Arkitekt. That's insane PRSes right there... You are Gearjoneser 2... but kinda modest :)
I noticed all of them have tremolos. You just prefer them that way? What's the difference tonally? Do the tremolos have good tuning stability?

The first 2 PRSes have colors to DIE for!!!

I just like the PRS Trem. I've never seriously test drove a hardtail PRS so I can't really compare them tonally. The trem is part of the PRS mojo. Like any trem with proper setup they work very well. I use a little Stew-Mac Guitar Grease in the slots when I change strings but other than that I don't do anything special. They are very nice instruments and I am very fortunate to have them.

that is gorgeous Dom, congrats

Thanks I wish it had a Rosewood neck like yours, then I'll be happy
I may replace it with an IRW McCarty or a Santana with a Rosewood neck
Right now that guitar rocks and the wife says its pretty
So who could ask for more?

Re: Show your PRS's.....

i love the IRW/BRW neck/board for its look and feel ... but, i am still getting use to the tone ... it really rolls the highs back ... after i've been playing (at volume) for about 30 minutes, i am totally readjusted to it and love what it does, but i still fight with it for the first half hour

and yeah, the carlos brazi's are pretty incredible ... what are they, like $5K or more?

That's the tone I'm looking for since I have a bright Amp
Don't know the price on BrazSants
P.S. Go to your herbology or aromatherapy store and get some Rosewood Oil for the Neck
Its the 2nd best smell in the world

you guys are killing me....

like a guy that sees his buddy's all dating his ex-wife.... ;)

it's f-ing painful.

Re: Show your PRS's.....

rosewood oil is cool. I have some left over from my former owner of a IRW neck PRS days.... I drip a few drops on a rag from time to time and let it sit out in my music room. smells great.

Thanks man!

Mike, like you I prefer stark contrasts on alot of my guitars. I guess that's the hot rodder in us! :) When my PV is done it will be pretty contrasting too.
