Heres some Peavey Gear. I have two of these old [peaveys. I love the distorotion. Its wicked. I paid 175.00 for the Peavey but it works excellent. The Cabinet is a monster heavey Peavey 4x12 that I want to have all EV12's in eventually.

A few of my wood cabinet amps. Legend and Kustom hybrid. The legend is loaded with a JBL. and i use it just as a cabinet. One of the Kustoms went the way of the Dodo.I still have the 6valve (6x6l6) loaded with a 15" SRO. Very nice cleans and I casn run my Rockmaster inot the preamp in for good dirt.I paid way too much for the Kustom off EBay. 450.00 plus shipping, and had to sink about another hundred cause it quit working. I no longer have the two Peavey guitars, but still have a Peavey t-40 fretless bass I got for 80 bucks at a pawnshop with a slightly tweaked neck.

My metalboard. Most pedals I found at a great price.

A couple of amp PA amp convrsions. Both PA amps i got in trade, and my buddy converted te Bogen, and the other one, The Williams, cost 250.00 and is voiced on a Fender Pro.

Woops, I almost forgot the Gibson Flying V I got for a Peavey T40 Bass, a Peavey T-60 guitar and 130.00.

This is about 2/3rds of the gear I have. Ive also got some big bass cabinetes, some ohter guitar cabinets, alot of nice PA gear, . I've driven thousands of miles to pick a lot of this stuff up at the best deals I could find. I made alot of these deals with cash plus other gear, and got some of the gear pretty cheap.

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

hey moose, hows that X-tone? ive always really liked the look of em, but never knew anybody that had one

Honestly I really dig it. Great guitar... as gnarly as the Lesters and PRS, or at least real, real close. Playability is there, tone is almost there... it's not quite as open and responsive, but it's WAY cool.

I've played three X-Tones... when they first came out I ordered one from a store about 45 minutes away and it was a dud. Maybe it was really great, I'll never know. The shop called and said it had arrived and they only took it out of the box when I got there, the strings were rusty and there was a weird funk on the fretboard. It needed to be cleaned up badly and they didn't want to do that so I walked.

Couple three years ago I was working somewhere in New England saw that one, used, in a store and it had EMG's at the time. Sounded great unplugged... I played it against that amber LP w/the zebras and acoustically it was right there so I plunked down cash & gave it a home.

Since then I've played one other that looks like mine but had a Bigsby, was new... and was also a great guitar. If you dig ESP's then you'd dig an Xtone, has the same neck shape.

The low-mids & bottom aren't as full as the Lester, so it's almost brighter but not really. Midrange is a little more focused in a narrow way. It's also more of a solidbody then a semi-hollow... much much closer to a Paul then a 335. All in all, for a couple hundred bucks I can't complain one bit!!!

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

heres my 3 best guitars

The new Charvel i just bought a couple weeks ago, they are awesome guitars! Love those gunstock finished necks.

My workhorse strat that ive had for near 10 years and has been victim of tons of experimentation... gotta have a guinea pig and theres nothing like a custom player strat to do it on? it has a custom "taper scallop" that isnt on this pic since it was done this summer and i dont have fresh pics of this axe. Its my favorite axe in terms of feel and playability and that 78 sounds huge in it!

My R60 les paul, im not much of a les paul player and i prefer the feel of a strat style guitar but i couldnt resist the GAS.. i dont regret though it its a kick ass guitar, just too bad it doesnt get much playing as my other axes.

Dont have any pics atm of my marshall JTM-45, but it has Tesla KT66 power tubes and Mullard 12AX7 preamp tubes and sounds awesome!

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

Actually, I like it a lot, that's why I asked what your's was. I use it in a vintage style, Page emulation, and with the Tele it really nails that LZ1 vibe. I like that's it's a more focused fuzz than a Fuzz Face but not nearly as wooly and crazy as a Muff. I really like it for leads, especially with lower gain pickups like in the Tele.

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

The Overdriver is kinda the same idea. I think it's the next evolution of the Tonebender Mk II, but I haven't been able to find out for sure yet. I've been thinking about grabbing the Stone Bender so that I can compare the two.

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

Here's the gist. Sorry, I really love pedals. :p

Wow, oh wow - I gotta ask, how do you like the analog man king of tone? And the Sun Lion? And the tweak fuzz? I'd kill to get my hands on a sun lion, not literally, but I really want one. And I've been curious: how does Seymour's stuff stack up against the fuzz on the sun lion? I've heard good things about the tweak fuzz, and I know analogman has one of the best fuzzes in the industry, what's your take on it?

edit: Also, how do those compare with the fuzz factory? I have the vexter series, so I can use that as a base of comparison if it helps...

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

These are my babies. Left to right they are: EJ strat (gold hardware and kinman woodstocks), project strat (sunburst 62 body, EJ neck and STK-S4's), 62 RI strat (custom shop 69's), John Mayer strat, Richie Kotzen strat, 62 custom tele, Epiphone casino, and up the top is an Epi LP plus-top.

Maybe a few too many boss pedals, but I couldn't resist getting some of the older ones like the DD-2, DC-2 and DM-2.
IMG_2520.jpg

Fender '59 Bassman. I put in a solid state rectifier to tighten the sound up.

Shame I can't make up the talent to make all this worthwhile :bigthumb:

Re: Show Your Stuff Thread!!

Both Analogman pedals are probably the best I've heard for each type (OD, Fuzz). The KOT is an awesome low gain OD that really enhances the tone of the amp. Everything you have now, just a little more. The Sunlion is a great boost and excellent fuzz. It is Ge, so it's very warm and furry, nice and smooth. With the volume rolled back it cleans up very nicely. To compare, the Tweak Fuzz is brighter and more immediate due to being Si, but also it's a very tame, in control fuzz. Even with the fuzz, volume and tweak maxed, it still only gets a little sputter. Compare to the Fuzz Factory where even with Stab at full, comp and gate at min and fuzz at 80% it's still more sputtery. Also the Tweak Fuzz has a lot more bass than the Fuzz Factory, but of course you can dial it out with the tweak knob. I like to use the TF for things like Gilmour's solo in Time. Then Sun Face is much furrier than that type of cutting tone.

The Tweak Fuzz was a great first fuzz, but I think the Analogman Fuzzes are the cream of the crop.
