Re: Showing off my rig a little...

The Les Paul is a studio standard (studio with binding) that was owned by a local blues man, and he kinda let it get messed up....so somebody bought it from him for cheap and tried to do a gold top on it..and it came out a lot more like a pinkish copper...I think it's a GREAT color, but definitely not original :) I've entertained the notion of having it refinished to a tobacco burst (I've seen the pictures of the before on this guitar, the wood grain is quite good) but can't see myself doing it

Re: Showing off my rig a little...

hey Jolly, you're from Middle Tennessee....I went to MTSU for two years...lived there in Murfreesboro...I love the middle tennessee area...hope to live there again one day....I've got a new band going that's just getting kicked of this week and if all goes right, we should be playing some gigs there at Bluesboro in Murfreesboro....

I thought the color seemed a little different. That's why I asked if it was a copper top. I just figured it was odd lighting in the pic. Cool guitar.

Re: Showing off my rig a little...

how you liking that rectoverb? i just got one of ebay and it should be here around thursday, i cant wait

Re: Showing off my rig a little...

I love my rectoverb...I sold a marshall 1971 JMP Super Bass half stack to buy it and then I sold my Peavey Classic 50 4x10 and my Traynor YCV40 because I didn't need them anymore. It's absolutely the second greatest amp I've had the privelage of playing (the best being a Mesa/Boogie Maverick which was SLIGHTLY out of my price range.
