SHPR and Phat Cat

I have one Phat Cat Neck, and one SHPR bridge. My guitar fas 2 volumes knobs and one tone, one 3 ways switch.
I install another 3 ways switch (replace the second removed tone knob ).
What is the best wiring diagram ?
I have prepared one but i'm not really shure !

Thank you for responses !

Re: SHPR and Phat Cat

On my Gherson, I want :
First switch is to select : neck pick-up, bridge pick-up or both, as traditionaly.
2nd one is only for the SHPR : Rail only, P90 only, Humbucker (both).

It is the same effect as 2 push pull, or a mini toggle.
I think it's more easy to do and manipulate (and I have these '3 way switches').

I have one (and only one) unused push pull, perhaps can I use this one to phase switching ?
By this way can I obtain the same effect as the 2nd or 4th position on a strat ?

Thanks

Re: SHPR and Phat Cat

I've tried this diagram. It doesn't work !
I hear only the P90 of the SHPR.
Something is wrong.
Before, I had humbucker and Phat Cat, with 2 volumes and 2 tones, all was right.
But my humbucker had bad tone, and I try to replace it by a new HSPR.
As I do not need 2 tones, I replace one knob by a 3 way switch for the HSPR.
But my wiring diagram seems wrong.
I need some help .... Thanks.

Re: SHPR and Phat Cat

I'm not sure that the series/split/parallel wiring can be achieved using a Gibson-style toggle like the one in that diagram. It's easiest to do with an on/off/on mini-toggle.

Re: SHPR and Phat Cat

What is the difference between gibson-style toogle (3 ways switch) and a mini toogle ?
I have a look on the SD diagram 'way switch translation' , it seems the same utility, or not ?

SHPR pick-up is : a rail pick-up (ie strat), a P90 and both (I think) to make an humbucker. I think that is not the same as series/split and parallel.

Thanks,
Michel

I know what the P-rails are, I have a set in my Explorer.

A 3-way mini-toggle has two poles i.e. its like having two switches that share the same mechanism.

Re: SHPR and Phat Cat

Yes !!!
it's all right ! Pretty sound, very mellow with the Phat Cat, good for jazz, and 'brillant' for the SHPR.
Thanks again.
Michel
ps. I have put two tone controls, because Phat Cat and SHPR are too different !
