Shubb SV3 capo

Man I love Shubb capos and they've delivered again!!!

I have had a problem with capos on 2 guitars since I got them...my R8 and my Cleveland Single Cut 1950.

They both have rather large necks and spring capos were always too tight and once they wore in enough to work on either of those guitars they were worn out and wouldn't work on anything else.

I switched to Shubb capos a few years ago and couldn't be happier but they do tend to pop off of those 2 guitars because they necks are so large but the SV3 is designed for thick neck guitars and boy does it do the trick!

Also FWIW, this is a Shubb Deluxe capo which I hadn't tried until today but I like the deluxe design even better than the standard Shubb!

No real point, just want to share...maybe one of you guys have a fat neck guitar and are having capo issues!

I use old Shubb brass capo's on the acoustic. Never use one on the electrics though. I've always liked them.

I've always like Shubb capos more than others. It's such a simple but perfect design, mostly because you can precisely control the pressure. Some others are so tight, I wonder if I'll dent the frets.

The only negative is that you can't really clip them onto your headstock, but I don't do that anyway.

Looking at the new design, it's hard to tell what keeps the little wheel straight.

Shubb is my favorite brand of capos. I don't use capos very often, but when I do I use them on an acoustic guitar.

i'm still rocking my Planet Waves capo that definitely feels like they got a lot of influence from the Shubb.

This pic shows the wheel a little better...

It's made on to a little plate that moves up and down as you tighten or loosen the thumb screw and the wheel itself slides in a little track on the other side...great idea really!

There's a little groove it tracks in. Shubbs are all I use. They're small and never get in the way of my thumb, which I use to play a lot of chords. I'm a Shubb dealer, so if anyone here needs one, I've got a bunch of 'em.

Got an old Dunlop trigger capo (which is working fine for me), but I'm considering switching over to Shubb for the old schoolness.

Dang...wish I'd know that!

I bet I've bought a half dozen Shubb capos int he past 6 months!
