Silver Jubilee 2X12 combo

Re: Silver Jubilee 2X12 combo

When my JJ EL34's go in my 2555 I might give some 6550's a shot. I have a quad of russian 6550s in my 2210 and they sound great. I dig 'em. I use 4x12s of vintage 30s with my bogner and marshalls, but i am looking for a good deal on a marshall 4x12 with greenbacks. I bet they'd make the jub sound more crunchy.

Ungh! I had that same white halfstack on the right, and I got the Blue tolex (white logo) amp on the way. I REALLY want the brass logo one like you've got. SCHWEEEEEEEEEET collection man! :smokin:

Can you hear a difference between the brass logo head and the plastic?

Re: Silver Jubilee 2X12 combo

If I ever come across a blue stack, I might have to go for it. That picture is killer. Collectible Marshalls are some of the coolest pieces of gear you can have. Not only do they sound great, but every year they just keep rising in value. In another 10 or 20 years, you'll see those amps heading towards 10 grand if they're in 9.5+ condition.

Re: Silver Jubilee 2X12 combo

That's why I wanna snap some up now, while they're still "affordable" so to speak. When I remember paying $200 for my 67twin, $500 for my JCM 800 halfstack, Trading a guitar I paid $250 for (original Kramer Baretta) for another guitar (Kramer American Liberty) then trading that for a 73 Marshall halfstack AND vintage 70s Sound City cabinet (which I GAVE AWAY)yyyy...I could go on & on, and I'm sure many others can too!
