Silverburst Sucsess!

I pulled the trigger on a 1981 Les Paul Custom Silverburst this week and it arrived today.

This one is a little unique because of the factory Kahler, and it has the super FAT Tim Shaw humbuckers. What a great sonding pickup!

It is in really good shape for a 30 yr old guitar...a few dings and dents, a few little chips...but no signs of abuse, crack or breaks.

I plugged it in to my Heritage Colonial and i was blown away by the tone of this 10 lb monster! I'll have a clip hopefully tomorrow.

I'm very pleased with this axe.

Re: Silverburst Sucsess!

Awesome, I may actually have to buy that one from you in a couple of months when you put it up for sale in the trading post.

Re: Silverburst Sucsess!

Very cool, and YES YES YES, Shaws are awesome pickups. My 83 Custom shop standard had them, I'd LOVE to have another set.

Congrats :D

That is effing hot. Like really.

I wonder how long this one will take before it's out the door.

Re: Silverburst Sucsess!

Yeah, my bandmate's SG has one. He disabled it and got rid of the locking clamps on the head, but the bridge is still there. Interesting to see one on a LP.

I'm trying to decide if it's a sin to covet thy neighbor's silverburst.... Nice piece, congrats!
