I had the opportunity to buy one of those back in 85. A guy got in a car accident and couldn't play anymore, and was selling off his stuff. He had an 81 JCM800 half stack that I bought for $500, an antigua strat that I bought for $400 a month or two later, and the silverburst Les Paul that I JUST missed out on for another $500 just after I bought the strat. I already had my 75 Custom and wanted a strat so I bought that first. What a stunning guitar man, congratulations.
I saw the Outlaws in 1980 at the Fountain Casino in NJ, and either Henry or Hughie was using one of these. Don't remember if it had the trem or not.
I remember in the early 90's I used to get the Mandolis Bros catalogue from Staten Island, that had the full Gibson retail price listings... Back then it was always listed that you could get a Les Paul with a Kahler trem, but it was a special order that you rarely saw in stores
Awesome, though, were it me, I'd go chrome for that classic silverburst LPC look. I love the necks on all the 81s I've owned, too, but the weird cutaway always threw me off.

At least if you ever want to sell a Heritage, you don't need to take pics of it. Just pull up Brentrocks' profile and go to 'Find all posts by...' and there'll be a set of pics in there from where he once owned and sold the same guitar.
