Since I've started playing.. (clip inside)

Fulltone

I haven't been playing guitar long (since dec 06) and one of the first bands I got into was X. This might sound kinda pathetic, but I've always liked their lead guitarist's lead tone and while I don't want to emulate it 1000000%, something similar is what my ideal tone would be, but with more oomph I guess. So:

the tone in his art of life lead is the sort of sound I'm after. PUs would be going into a dual-bucker super.

Thanks!

A lot of Japanese guitarists get their tone from Marshall stacks. They are very popular in Japan. Maybe more so than any other amp brand.

Yeah, I've been shopping for a new amp too and I'm really interested by an ENGL screamer, just gotta get out there and check it out.

And no, haha, he doesn't move much.

Looks double creme, so chances are it's a Dimarzio Super Distortion (if my ears serve me right).

Would a PU like the Air Norton go well in the neck along with a Super D in the bridge?
