For the past 20 years, I have played in a church where the dimming transformers for the lights are essentially right behind the stage. There, you don’t need to worry about 60 cycle hum. You actually have to worry about electromagnetic interference all the way across the spectrum. Even the humbuckers there can be very noisy.
So turning your guitar doesn’t really make that much of a difference there. Absolutely have to go with noise-canceling singles there.
Of the ones that I have used, the Wilde by Bill and Becky and the STKS4 by Duncan have been the best.
