single coil question

I have always dealt with humbuckers, which are specified as either neck or bridge. I bought 3 aps-1 pickups for my strat because I'm getting into single coils, but it occurred to me that they aren't marked for position...does it matter?

If the middle one is RWRP it wouls go in the middle and it's balck and white wires are opposite the other 2 pickups...If all 3 look identical,measure the dc resistances in ohms and put the hottest one in the bridge,the weakest in the neck,and the 3rd one in the middle..Pickups were just ramdomly put into strats in the early days and there was no RWRP.
