New to the forums so bear with me. I have a cheap strat in a HSS setup. And was hoping to make it a HS with an Invader bridge and was wondering what single coil would go well with it. Thanks

welcome to the forum!

real single coil or single coil size bucker? what tones do you want? my first thought if you want a real single coil is the qp flat

Re: Single coil that will go well with an Invader bridge?

I was thinking a single coil sized bucker. With an aggressive tone like hard rock or metal, sorry if a wasn't specific enough.

the hot rails is a good choice but few if any pups are aggressive in the neck position, it will be thick have good output

Re: Single coil that will go well with an Invader bridge?

A Hotrail(b) in the neck should be plenty aggressive, no?

If you're talking about a neck-specific Seymour Rails product, they're all formulated to have far less balls. On purpose. Because the Seymour formula for sets is hugely variable levels of aggro in the bridge depending on choice, but almost always something fairly PAF-ish in the neck as the set companion.

I was going to say a Quarter Pound or even the single coil Invader, but they're both true singles.

high output? yes. fat? yes. aggressive? no. the bridge model wont have much bite in the neck at all, 1m volume and no tone will help though
