Single Coils in the Bridge... Why?

Re: Single Coils in the Bridge... Why?

What do you guys think of the Duncan Custom Staggered? I was thinking of trying that out.
The Duncan Custom singles are the answer for getting single single coil tone that's not ear piercing when using the bridge pickup alone. Power chords sound fatter and crunchier than with vintage singles. They don't sound as glassy. They're a little warmer, and have a fuller sounding midrange but still have the character of a single coil, not a humbucker.

Well, I'm follwing Guitar Toad's advice to get a Texas Hot Custom Bridge. I'm sure that would fix the problem. I was this close to just getting a SC sized HB, and I'm glad I'm doing something different this time.

Well, other guys around here who know more than me recommended the THCB to me, Lew and The Guy Who Invented Fire and Bludave. I'm glad I followed their advice. cuz I love it. ;)
