Single coils to add to JB Jr in the bridge

Hey Guys,

i have been using the “Everything axe set“ for a while and let me tell you it is FANTASTIC. If you only have one guitar and playing versatile music, this is it! Its wired so i can split Lil 59 and JB Jr, while also being able to add bridge (JB jR) to Neck pickup (telecaster style). It is an amazing guitar, as versatile as one can imagine and i love it.

But recently i have bought a Music man Y2D guitar, with HSH configuration. Its a fantastic axe! So somehow i now have 2 very similar guitars and while i really like them, i would like to make my Strat more of a classical Strat again, but maintaining the JB Jr in the bridge. I am looking for SRV, Hendrix tones. More on the blues/rock side.

I play trough 69 Deluxe reverb, my favorite drives are TS808HW, Carl martin Plexi tone, ZVEX Fuzz factory.

So which single coil pups would you suggest me to get for the neck and middle position to go well with the JB jr?

I am looking at:
SUHR V60LP
FENDER FAT 50
LINDY FRALIN BLUES SPECIAL, VINTAGE HOT
SD ANTIQUITY

ANYTHING ELSE?

Thank you for your suggestions!

I think of the JB JR as having less treble but more output than a vintage single coil.

A pair of APS-2 pickups with the middle one RW/RP might be nice. I like the flat poled version.

I've hit on a fantastic setup purely by accident.
I have a JB in the bridge of my Strat, a true single coil in the mid ( RWRP Suhr V60LP ) and a noiseless in the neck. ( in my case Kinman Impersonator 54 )
This way I've got noiseless in 4 out of 5 positions and all are fantastic ( especially position 2, bridge split/mid single ).
I run mine with 250K volume and a 250K push pull tone pot with coil tap for the bridge and a .001 cap.
I'm in the process of converting all my guitars to the same format.. it really is that good.

Check out Lollars single coil offerings. I just ordered the Tweeds.

I also really like the Antiquity Texas Hots and I think those or Fralin Blues Specials would nail the SRV/Hendrix tones.
