IIRC, Dimarzio made a companion single for the Super D.

You could try the SDS-1 which is dimarzio's hottest single coil. It is a distortion class single coil.

+1. Very hot singles. Jake E. Lee used them to match with a JB. And my buddy has a pair in a Charvel along with a FastTrack2 which is the "Hotrails" equiv to the Super D. Great balance.
