First coat of color down. Did a truly abysmal job, but the low lighting hides the worst of it here.

What is it gonna be when it's done? One of those reverse Jazz Masters? What kind of pups use routs like that, or are you gonna route for pups after you paint?
No matter what, you can't go wrong with a pink offset body.

Yeah, reverse Jazzmaster, like the Cabronita.

Pickups are surface mounted gold foil replicas by Curtis Novak. Those holes are glorified wire channels. I made them bigger than necessary so that I had larger targets when drilling the channel from the neck pocket, through the pickup holes, to the control cavity.

Man, I took a look this morning and there are some serious flaws in the shape and surface of the body that I didn't spot, even in primer white. May have to sand back and put some filler in to repair.

make sure you start and stop spraying when you are off the surface of the guitar
