Six-Point/Single Locking Roller Floyd?

Re: Six-Point/Single Locking Roller Floyd?

Against:
-A million moving parts to get stuck, or screw you over with poor lateral tolerances and aging (not to mention replaceability)
-Doesn't appear to add any range of motion vs. a vintage trem, so no slack strings or tricks for the trouble
- ...A vintage Strat trem already stays in tune to a reasonable degree, and does not require the additional gizmos
-Despite all the 'mess' the intonation is still on springs/free to move
-Looks even less comfortable than a standard Floyd

For:
-Looks awesome
-Probably 'works' (not that any six-hole trem wouldn't)
-Heavy, so might sound nice with a float

Wow. Looks (superficially I assume) like a cross between a Rockinger and a Killer.

So those are finger clamps? In that case they shouldn't normally be a moving component while in operation (unlike the double-rollers above)

Re: Six-Point/Single Locking Roller Floyd?

Yeah finger clamps, Its complicated but the benefits are worth it.

They came from the gibson wrc.

It's a Floyd! No it's a Kahler! No its a vintage Stratocaster Trem!
It is a personal preference but I like vintage trems the best. They work well and stay in tune if the nut is cut well and the six point screws are not is overly thightned. I like non locking 2 point knifeedge trems too.
