Does the Quarter Pound for jazz bass have a larger-than-normal case/housing?
I tried installing a set in a Squier Jazz (Standard series, not Affinity) just before Xmas, and though the neck pickup went in fine, the bridge pickup hole would need to be routed 1-2mm in every direction for the QP to fit. If I did a poor routing job there's no pickguard around the bridge pickup to hide it, and even if I did a decent routing job, the weather hereabouts won't be warm enough to do a proper refinish for 2-3 months, so I'm naturally hoping to avoid that whole direction.
Would other Basslines be less of a tight squeeze than the QP, or if one SD doesn't fit should I expect none of 'em to?
