when it came to the glue joint itself the article i read was claiming the round-lam with it's curved glue joint was stiffer then a slab boards flat glue joint... but ya i'm sure the thicker rosewood on a slab boad has to be a bonus!

Yeah its all good. In any event i prefer a slab board over a lam.

Not really experienced wih Fenders at all, but that round lam looks... well, kinda cheap.

I wouldn`t say that but i do prefer a slab board.
