Slanted/tilted bridge humbucker?

What's the use sound-wise? What does it do with a pickup's sound, opposed to regular setups? I got one in a Kramer and I was wondering what could be the benefits.

Well, the closer to the neck, the smoother and warmer the tone of a pickup. The closer to the bridge, the brighter and clearer the tone. So with an angled pickup, you would have a slight change in those aspects of the pickup.

Yeah, similar benefits to the angle in strat or tele bridge pups. Plus, you can tilt a standard spaced bucker so that there's a polepiece under each string on a floyd spaced bridge. To some people that matters.

I see. Thanks. On my guitar (Floyd Rose II), the polepieces are not brilliantly alligned. You say that it matters to some people, so it's only if you listen very closely and critically I guess?

Well, even when listening closely *I* can't notice a difference with buckers. I DO notice a difference with single coils, though; I think it's because their magnetic field is more "directed" because they use magnetic poles instead of screws with a magnet underneath.

Pickups sound bassier & thicker in my Kramer (slanted bridge slot) than other guitars.

+1, and the poles line up better when using standard spaced pickups with an axe w/ Floyd or a similarly spaced bridge

Ok, I now have a standard spaced DiMarzio Steve's Special in it, but the stock pickup was F-spaced, I think...
