Slap me now for wanting a TS-9!

Re: Slap me now for wanting a TS-9!

Input/Output buffers are good because they allow the pedals to play well with other pedals before or after them. Without them, they can be picky about placement or just not want to play well with others at all.

I've got a few true bypass pedals as well only because I built them that way when I got in to DIY pedals (all perfboard stuff). I don't use them in my band rig though.

In fact, I was looking at it from a DIY point of view :D. A simple modded TS, without the buffers and switching circuits. The schematics I saw are designed to present the correct input and output impedances even without dedicated buffers.

Oh, good Lord. Sounds like it's time to call out the infantry. Next thing you know he's going to want a Mesa Dual Rectumfrier.....LOL.

StrangeSound!!! Why are you selling your ENGL? :(

Re: Slap me now for wanting a TS-9!

I got it still here and I'll use it for some time but in the end I need a "vintage" amp for my style.

But before I change it, I could try a different OD pedal, a CM Plexitone or so...or I have to learn to use my gear better. I'm confused :D

Nothing's written yet! Hang on, I take the amp to the band rehearsal, tinker, tweak and see.

*slap* :D
