I love this guys take on Slash! It just cracked me up, LOL man! It had nothing to do with the guitar he just had to rant jaja.......

This is his page http://www.zacharyguitars.com/280410pics.htm

I'll post a part of it here:

........" Images of Slash, the cartoon character, will be omnipresent, the creepy horrific clown, following you everywhere, selling you every product and promising to give you eternal life within some hideously gruesome video-game. A future world where technology will turn all your nightmares into reality. Where nightmare and reality will become one in the same. No longer will you be able to awake screeming from a nightmares and be relieved that it never happened. There will be no escape. Slash will be ubiquitous as the horrid replacement of divinity."

:argh::ban:

It's a great looking guitar by the way, I loved it.

Zachary (Alex?) is a pretty crazy guy, but his site is well worth reading through at least once, if nothing else other than to read his sheer insanity. Like, he's genuinely convinced that he's some musical revolutionary.

It's best appreciated as a piece of counter-culture surrealist art.

maybe I missed something..... how would one adjust the intonation on that particular guitar?

also, the reverence for the phenolic chicken head knob is... interesting.

Re: Slash lovers and haters let yer bowels be heard!

while I'm kinda OK with the wacky body shape, that headstock made me exclaimed "ewwwww" and cringe physically.

In order for the head stock to work he had to place both the high and low e string tuners upside down. That is trully minimalism. It keeps the head stock weightless, for a good balance, and keeps the strings in an almost straight line from nut-tuner. I find it very original! Tka a look at these pics:

Yeh, he's nuts! Atacking Slash instead of advertising his guitar is pretty wild. IMO Slash gets free Gibson guitars, free Seymour pups, fills stadiums......he's got it made......all he needs to do now is learn how to play the guitar. Peice of cake!

Re: Slash lovers and haters let yer bowels be heard!

He contradicts himself many times in all thats **** he has written. makes one of a kind guitars based on other peoples designs. I think its pretty average stuff and nothing grasps me as groundbreaking or unique.

He mentions how he will use any type of wood as a tone wood then in the list of woods he uses its all known tone woods.

ORIGINALITY - Almost every guitar company is copying 30 or 40 year old designs, which are not their own. I subscribe to the belief that you can't be the best unless you're willing to be different.

Z3 reminiscent of a Stratocaster but not the exact same shape and a smaller body in size
D1 based on that "cheesy" fifties Danelectro guitar some of us like so much
F1 based on the Telecaster, I reinvented this guitar and believe to have made it as it should have been in the first place, had Leo been a guitar player
F1-C This is is the exact same shape as the F1 but has my personal contouring. The Tele with an edge
G1 based on the Gibson Les Paul
G2 based on the Gibson SG
G3 based on the Gibson Firebird
G4 based on the Gibson Moderne
