Slash....

Re: Slash....

That's a tough one... Haven't heard/seen anything about a Slash signature amp other than that Slash himself has 6 of those heads. Good luck looking for one though.

Re: Slash....

sorry bout the hi-jack but I seen a picture of slash and his LP and it has another little toggle switch between the volume and the tone knobs , What does it do?
Maybe you know Slashrules.

Re: Slash....

keep looking.. now and again someone pops up thats selling a silver jubilee .. and about a diferent amp sounding similar or the same.. no dice.. there's only one silver jubilee

Re: Slash....

Yeah man, there's usually a few Silver Jubilee's on ebay. I saw a Slash signature somewhere the other day... can't recall where. Just remember seeing JCM SLASH on the front panel.

And +1 to Davey... there is only one Silver Jubilee

and does anyone know of an amp with a similar sort of tone for about £350-£550 (about $675-$875)

Silver Jubilee models do come up on Ebay here in the UK and they aren't as expensive as they are in the US. Try doing searches on ebay.co.uk for "marshall jubilee". There is a facility for saving your search and having ebay repeat it for you and e-mail you about any items that come up.

Here's some general information on the Jubilee series:

The Slash model is a reissue of the 2555, but the other heads and combos in the series are all pretty much capable of the same tones.

I bought my 2553 head and 2556B cab in 2002 for £620. The 1x12 2554 combo tends to be the cheapest in the range.

Holy shlt! That cheap...?

Bloody hell, if you ever see another one around for that price... let me know!
it's UK pound sterling thou.. not american dollars

Re: Slash....

still, man... that'd buy you a new DSL50 head in britain... just the head!

Re: Slash....

Is there anywhere that still sells the jubilee series?
Think about it, seven years time and it will be the golden jubilee!!!
I cant wait

Exactly.... i was thinking it'd be more like 1000+ quid for one of those.

I saw a 2553 sell on ebay UK for about £800 last year. Another time I saw a complete mini-stack (2553 head plus 2556A & 2556B cabs) with a starting price of £799. I don't think it sold. I think Jubilees are more valued in the US than they are here in the UK - or maybe it's an internet thing. In my last band (gigging 2002 - 2004) we both played Jubilees, and not that many people ever came up and commented on the fact. Maybe we were just crap. :laugh2:

Do those regular searches for marshall jubilee! (And if you see a 2556A cab let me know - I'd like one to complete the stack).

Re: Slash....

If you want a Slash or a jubilee, I have seen them quite alot on ebay lately. I have seen the Slashes sell for $1050-$2300 US dollars. BTW, I bought mine for the $1050.

Re: Slash....
