As far as his playing goes Ashba isn't bad. As far as his signature guitar goes... I wonder how long it would burn after I salvaged all the good parts off of it...?

I think the Ashba guitar looks hideous and my main problem with DJ Ashba is that he seems to be trying to replicate Slash at every level, from the Les Paul to the top hat.

I appreciate the attempt at an original color scheme, but this suffers from the same ailment as most sig lps. It's just a lp, and in this case, with a jb in the bridge.

I have seen Slash live with Myles, and it was an incredible show.

I don't mind the colour scheme, but the whole signature thing leaves me feeling a bit meh more often than not these days.

Ashba is a good guy and competent player; no need to bash via comparison to Slash. The real question: Does the world need another signature guitar?
