i put some grunge distortion in it, with a flanger on the other guitar. enjoy.

Re: smells like nirvana

Actually compared to a lot of the versions I've heard this one's not bad at all... good vocals too.

Re: smells like nirvana

I didn't dig the bits where the backing vocals went "hello, hello, hello"

But other than that, it was very very very good.

Be proud of that, I would be!

Re: smells like nirvana

i love it dude! :)

great vocals! :saeek:

but what i didn't like was the tone at the beginning with the distortion/chorus. a bit too thin..is it possible to fatten it up a little?

Re: smells like nirvana

Bass drum gets lost somtimes... there are parts where the guitar is supposed to be clean... vocals sound faked.... should have chorus on the vocals during the chorus... to fatten it up, just bring the lower end of the drums up. Interesting to listen to.

Re: smells like nirvana

Pretty good recording there. The vocals, bass, and drums were good, however the guitar should have been a little louder if you ask me. The intro was a little to thin and trebly sounding compared to the actual song intro performed by Nirvana on the cd. The Chorus seemed to trebly sounding also and wasn't quite beefy enough. Other than that, good vocals and guitar playing dude. :32: What amp were you using for this recording?

yeah i think myself the distortion could have been chunkier and louder. i ran grunge distortion from a korg processor through a 6 channel mixer board then to the pc. i sat here for like 30 min trying to find something on the processor that would back it up good to play another guitar part, but never coudl decide.
so i just EQed the one i had alittle and left it. it aight i guess.

Re: smells like nirvana

Pyro, Did you ever end up trading your cousin guitars like youd talked about for a while?

Re: smells like nirvana

I enjoyed it a lot. There are only some things to be done a bit better but at the end it is a very good cover. Good voice!

Re: smells like nirvana

oh by the way that was a BT that came with bass, drums and vocals. :D so that wasnt me singing....i got in a hurry when iposted this so i uh forgot to mention that part...lol
ive done so many BTs w/vocals lately and posted i forget to mention its a BT. anyway, apologies for that....:o

but all the guitar parts, effects, and mixng were done by me. :)

Re: smells like nirvana

sounds good to me, i'm not even sure if the guitar tone needed to be any fatter or chunkyer, only problem i found was guitar needed to be a bit louder.

Yes its been done a billion times.....but its STILL a great song!
