Some time ago I tried to figure out what kind of gear Shawn Lane used, since I liked his sound. I finally had to give up, since he seemed to use almost averything. Saw a picture of the rack he used as an amp; it covered tons of different gears and pedals (I recognized a Boss Metal Zone somewhere in the chaos). I´ve heard he used Dimarzio PAF, PAF Pro, Air Classic, and as Jeremy says, Lace Transducers. I also saw him playing a Charvel guitar, which probably had the orginal Jackson pickups left. I only found one thing that he didn´t change: he always played with Dunlop´s Jazz III picks (but perhaps he finally found a different pick too).
