so i got the guitar port

Davey

Goliath of Tone
and still fiddling with the controlls, checking out the presets and i must tell you, my guitar never sounded so alive before

so, now i'm trying to squeeze out that 80's maiden tone (NOTB/POM era), but it aint that easy lol

this was recorded with a preset that nuntius sent me, me likes it and so i records something i know real fast ... sooo here it is. sorry for the fuzzyness/clipping, but i'm still trying to figure out how to record properly...

enjoy =)

GP test is the clip

Re: so i got the guitar port

I listened to it a few times ... the sound is very close to Adrian's Les Paul on Wickerman ... I like the tone a lot ... the flange might be sweeping a bit too fast and a bit too high in the mix, but that's my only criticism.

Excellent! :D

Re: so i got the guitar port

i used nuntius' real heavy preset. it's not a flanger, it's a chorus and yea, it is a little bit over the top. adrian has a little more grit though. a tad more agressive.. and i have to be carefull so the the computer doesnt start to clip the signal.
i'm getting the groove of the thing slowly lol

but today i dont know whats wrong =P i cant play it has something to do with the USB cos i got the webcam on and it's hogging all the bandwith LOL, i'll prolla yhave to restart the computer so it'll work again

plus i had an accident at work so i can only play power chords (cut my middle finger on the fingertip >.< )

i cannot even try to compare this sound to what i get from my amps .. this one is HUGE! =) thx for the compliments. i really apretiate your comparison :D

Re: so i got the guitar port

the GP is a great thing.

wondering, can you switch between amp setups really fast?
to get a clean sound, or will i have to multitrack clips for that?

Re: so i got the guitar port

Well I multi track mine

But i remember reading on the forums (when i was still a member online) that someone had found a way to hook up a midi pedal to control the wah effect in real time, and for patch switching.

I dont know how he did it though
