Actually, it arrived last friday but I was on the beach and no one answered the door so I had to wait till today to get it.

Introducing: The Boss SD1

Not a whole need for pics, they all look the same but here are a couple of bad cell phone pics, anyway.

Lust away for crappy gear.

The pedal is actually making this little bastard useful. No, the amp didn't come in the same package... everyone's gotta be a joker...:banghead:

How does it sound? Exactly what I expected. Not too much but enough to drive the amp into being usefull. Still experimenting, trying to find a favourite setting but I'm mostly using it with the tone backed off (9 o'clock), bit of drive (10) and mid level (12).

Adding the amp's built in distortion... Not bad, if you like Rage Against The Machine. To me it sounds fuzzy, not exactly what I'll be using all the time but it can be fun.

Thanks go to Igor, A.K.A. Davey, A.K.A. Goliath of Tone, A.K.A. Terror Bunnies (massive description = private joke). Arrived in perfectly good condition, original box and manuals, the works. Looks like he hardly used it.

Has some mods in it but I'll be a monkey's uncle if I know which ones.

Originally I wanted a Smokey. I didn't even had the electric, just wanted to try one with my APX and use it to connect it to the puter. Around here they never heard of it so I asked what they had or could get. It was either this or a small pocket marshall but I had to order that one. For 30€? I chose wiselly.

Distorted, it sucks, or used to... Clean? Quite nice, IMHO.

i like the SD1 for some things... i grabbed one used for $25 years ago... Oddly i find it works amazingly at warming up a Solid State amp's sound... i'm not a huge fan of using it as a solo booster but it does the job... but it sure has it's uses.

sometimes i use it to boost a clean channel of a tube amp into blues land...

Actually, that's exactly what's next in line. Well, that or a Blues Jr. Gonna take it easy on that tough, the current gear is playable so I don't REALLY need it right now. Couple of years when I get my life on track (outta my folks home, into my own, job, the works).

i like the SD1 for some things... i grabbed one used for $25 years ago... Oddly i find it works amazingly at warming up a Solid State amp's sound... i'm not a huge fan of using it as a solo booster but it does the job... but it sure has it's uses.

I bought this one for the brand and the price. 57€ (inclusing shipping) is a GREAT deal around here for a Boss pedal. It was this or an 85€ Digitech Bad Monkey.
