And since I build the cigar box lap steel no problem, I think in my spare time I'm going to work on a cigar box mandolin. I've never seen one before. Anyone got any ideas on this? I know for sure it's going to have F holes. Not sure about the rest of it. Suggestions?


Oh, and on a side note I got a call today from the customer with the 61 Les Paul/SG. He absolutely refuses to have anyone else do the restoration, and wants me to complete it out of the house. Suh-weet pics to come soon.

I know you can order necks premade from sewmac...might have to adjust them but it's a start.

the premade neck crossed my mind, but I'm also tossing around the idea of a neck "through". I'm not sure how to do that, since it would essentially be a neck through acoustic with f holes.

I gotta find a smaller box than the one I have.
