Yep! REAL skinny. I thought that I'd save some money in the long run if I bought the best thing right at the start. Of course, it'll cost me a lot in the shorter run. But I do hope that it's for the best!

Cheers!

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

Smart move. It's usually cheaper to save for what you really want than than to make a bunch of comprimises until you think you'll be able to afford it. Plus, amps like Diezels have great resale. If you don't like it, you should be able to get close to what you paid for it.

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

no **** dude! wow you went ahead and invested well!
good for you.

i actually wrote a thread once here on how i think it is better to invest a good wad o money on a good amp from the start then to get a bunch of cheap ones and not get what you want.

i am waiting for my Deliverance VHT as well and it will be here in a month! crap we gotta be patient man!

practice tons before it comes so when it does you can wail even more! LOL!

i heard a Diezel VH4 the other day, how does the einstein compare? the VH4 sounded a bit to modern for me.

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

Congrats! That Einstein is a very nice organic sounding Diezel. I have only checked one out for a couple minutes. I own a Diezel VH4 and the customer support is world class.

Oh don't worry. All of us have had that mentality at some point or the other. The bad thing is is that GAS is a disease that doesn't work quite that way!! :beerchug:

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

I believe that the Einstein is a little more "vintage" sounding against the more modern sounding other amps. I'm not sure exactly what it means.

I can't really pick it up from Germany, I live in Finland and it's quite a distance away! It would have cost me a lot of time and hundreds of euros to go get it, although the trip would have been quite nice.

I'll try to give a detailed review and pics and clips when I get it. Cheers!

GAS works in mysterious ways. It's actually strange, after I got my ESP M-II I really haven't had that much guitar gas. I suppose the Diezel will accomplish the same on the amp front. But don't worry, I already have the next couple of purchases in mind: a really good cable and a great tuner!

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

I bought my VH-4 and didn't think I'd ever need another amp because I also own a VHT. So far, I have been right. The VH-4 does the clean stuff very well, I have VHT for more "vintage" stuff, and then channel's 3 and 4 on the VH-4 for a more modern twist. You are right about the Einstein. It has a more vintage flavor and doesn't sound as modern and Diezel-like as a VH-4 or a Herbert. I could be mistaken for Bogner XTC by just listening to to it. The Einstein is a great amp. Some people say the VH-4 and Herbert sound too modern for them, you can't say that about the Einstein. It is the most organic sounding of the lineup. Congrats again, you'll love it.

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

Darn RGB you also have a VHT?? whew

which one?

how do you think the Deliverance compares to the pitbull series. to me it sounds warmer more Brown like.

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

I have a VHT 100CL. I haven't played a Deliverance yet but have been told by my local dealer it completely nails the brown sound to a T. I may buy a Deliverance if it blows me away when I get to finally play one.

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

That Einstein looks sweet as hell, congrats!!!! I've never played one, but I'd love to one day :)

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

It looks and sounds amazing. Can't wait until you get to try it out and tell us about it!

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

Thanks, guys! If I'm this anxious now, I can't imagine what I'll be like after a week!

If anyone wants to play one, feel free to pop by anytime! Just give me a ring first to do a little tidying up. Once you land in Finland, I can give you more specific instructions.

i think it got the Brown Sound pretty well myself. i just remember loving the sound. The Green Channel on the CL also makes me feel good, but i remember the Deliverance really doing for me.

I dig the Diezel as well, didnt fool around with it too much. As i said i played the VH4 and it sounded too modern to me, but an incredible amp no doubt.

Arent great Amps awesome?!

Re: So I just ordered a Diezel Einstein

Where did you order it from? I'm trying to find a dealer with prices but I can't find anything.

This amp looks like a really cool alternative to a Bogner Shiva.... Less watts (good thing) and righteous tone.... although I have a sneaking suspicion that it's gonna be way more expensive

You're wrong on the price, I got it cheaper than a Shiva. It was the main contender. I ordered mine from the finnish distributor, but I'm sure that you'd have better luck through some bigger european stores. I remember www.musicstorekoeln.de having some einstein at similar prices to my own.
